God as efficient cause

Abstract

This paper shows that according to Aristotle God is the source of being for the cosmos both as final and as efficient cause ; He acts not naturally but by art ; and He knows his whole work. Although Aristotle did not reach the knowledge of creation out of nothing, starting from the principles which Aristotle left established in his work one could come to the conclusion that that is how God caused the world to be.
