Abstract

The author studies the relation between philosophy and Christian faith as delineated by the encyclical Fides et Ratio, and goes on to compare this conception of the relation with others present in contemporary philosophical culture. He then examines the nature of philosophy as “science of truth”, according to which an intrinsic and positive relation between philosophical thought and Christianity is established.
